I've worked with SACTO on numerous projects including upgrading their system from FileMaker v6, enhancing their system with customized invoicing options, building an event management module, and adding automated pdf and email features to their system.

California Deptartment of Transportation

I began working with a single disctrict of Caltrans, and I was subsequently hired by several other districts to assist them with improving their FileMaker systems. The project for the initial district involved troubleshooting, documentation, training, and roll-out of a complex and dynamic Project Management system. This system was regularly synced with legacy data stored on Caltrans main servers. Bringing this data into FileMaker allowed project managers significantly improved access to crucial reports and this improved their daily work processes.

Apple, Inc.

I assisted the Manager of the Sales Compensation Department of Apple to enhance the department's sophisticated system in order to better meet the requirements of their complex sales compensation calculations and reports.

UC Davis Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

The initial project with CAPS involved integrating and improving upon their existing FileMaker system. Since the completion of the initial phase, we have continued to improve their system by adding features, new modules, and improving user experience in a variety of ways.

Innovative Education Management (IEM)

I work with IEM on an ongoing basis to provide technical support, development, analysis, and re-design of their mission critical, highly complex FileMaker system (150+ files). This system began in FileMaker v2 and we have built modules related to every aspect of their business.

Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra

I worked with Sacramento Philharmonic to enhance a pre-packaged solution from FileMaker, called Donations, and customize the system to better meet the needs of this non-profit. Customized features include adding a tracking screen for pledges, building a flexible reporting tool to give 10 years worth of donation and subscriber history, providing their users with the means of importing from their online ticket vendor, and syncing their contacts database with an export from their online ticket vendor in order to capture new contacts via online ticket sales.

International Rivers

International Rivers hired me to build a comprehensive system for their contacts, donations, pledges, media management, event management and mailings. Prior to rolling out the new system, I carefully mapped and imported data from their old FileMaker system into the new (100,000+ records). This process required detailed specifications between the old and the new systems because the data structure between the systems was significantly different. In the nearly three years since the initial solution was implemented, I have continued to work with International Rivers to develop additional features that enhance the value of their system.

Horizon Charter School

I provided ongoing maintenance and development for Horizon's complex FileMaker system (100+ tables). Their database served the administrative, financial, and student services needs of the 3000+ student school in a fully integrated system.

UC Davis Mouse Biology Program

The Mouse Biology Program had an older system developed ad hoc over several years and they needed to improve their efficiency and data entry flow. I normalized their tables and created one click linking between related data. The project involved careful mapping of old data formats into the newly normalized tables.

Pacific Response, Inc.

I worked with the Vice-President of Pacific Response to develop and maintain a sophisticated comprehensive business operations system in FileMaker for this nationwide architectural & engineering design firm. Features include: contract generation & tracking, project history, time & materials tracking and billing, project budgeting & costing, library catalog, personnel, and inter/intra-office communication.
